The Success Center has various temporary positions available:
PLAN Team Members
PLAN team members serve as ambassadors in the community offering information about proven parenting techniques related to protective factors, addressing issues of stigma and help-seeking and countering shame and negative experiences that other parents of adolescents are facing.
Qualifications:
*Strong verbal communication skills and an ease with discussing own experiences in raising adolescents.
*Commitment to strengthening the community.
*A flexible schedule and the ability to attend meetings and conduct community outreach.
*An interest in gaining peer leadership skills.
*Nights and Weekend hours required.
*Ideal candidate will work 8 hours weekly
Hourly salary: $9.50 per hr.
Note: This is a temporary position until October 2011. Must reside in a Thornton Township community.
